I still did a little bit and broke a sweat, but nothing compared to yesterday and today. I would love to celebrate this accomplishment, but ever since I’ve weighed in, I’ve been working harder. Sound the alarms but don’t start the celebration yet. I worked somewhat hard, and ate very well.
#Ll cool j platinum workout book review update
It JUST occurred to me that I didn’t update this week! Well, I will tell you this. And with the possibility of teaching a class this summer, it gives me even more motivation to kick ass and go hard the rest of the way to my goal. I have lost 2 lbs for two weeks in a row after struggling a little bit. So should I build for 2-4 weeks, then tone after that? I’m going to check out some workouts in LL Cool J’s books (Platinum Workout and Platinum 360), and the Men’s Health Diet book and make a decision.Īnyway, I’m pumped. Now, my dilema with weights is this: I love how I feel when I’m building big muscle. If I set out on a 5 mile trail and wanted to quit at 3 miles, guess what? I’m finishing, regardless. Besides, when I run outside, I can’t just quit at any point and get in my car and go home. I need the outdoors and hills and wind and all that. The only reason I will run after or before work is because I hate running on treadmills and tracks. When my new work schedule starts next week, I will be able to lift in the mornings before work, and if I dare, run after work. I still have not worked weights back into my routine. I guess yesterday’s 5 mile run helped, along with not eating terribly.
I would have been frustrated, but ok with 190. All week I was hovering around 191-192, until Tuesday I weighed in at 190.
Today my weight is: 189 lbs. What a pleasant surprise! I haven’t been in the 180’s since just after my wedding in 2011, and that was short lived. Last week I weighed 191 lbs after a nice 2 lb drop. I was officially one second slower than my all time fastest, but I waited for probably 20 seconds for cars.īut on to the real reason for this post. It was a satisfying 4.6 miles that would have been my fastest ever if I didn’t have to wait for cars to pass. My mind didn’t quit, but it did help me get through my run without focusing on how tired I’ve been these past two days. I decided to give my mind a break and go for a long run. While I won’t go into details, my mind has been working on overdrive for the last 5 hours thinking of ways to succeed. Today, I was faced with a new, and exciting challenge at work.
